The short version
If you refuse, we drop no identifier on your device. We still count the page in an anonymous, aggregated way: the page address, the referring site, the device type and the language. Your IP address is never stored as such — it is turned into a fingerprint that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
If you accept, we additionally know whether you are a first-time or returning visitor, which pages you read within one visit, how long you actually spent reading, and which buttons you clicked. That is what tells us which parts of the site are useful and which are not.
What we never do
- No advertising cookie, no third-party tracker, no social network pixel.
- No sale or sharing of measurement data with anyone.
- We never store your IP address.
- No link between this measurement and an Argon Education user account.
Where you are, roughly
To know which cities our visitors come from, your IP address is matched against a geographic database hosted on our own server. Your address is read in memory, converted into a country, a region and a city, then discarded — it is never written down and never sent to a third-party service.
This is deliberately coarse. We locate a city, never a street or a neighbourhood, and on mobile networks the result points at your operator's gateway rather than at you — which suits us: we want to know that schools in Douala read our pricing page, not who read it.

How long we keep the data
Detailed rows — the ones carrying your visitor identifier — are kept for 24 months, then deleted.
Before that deletion, they are consolidated into monthly totals: how many visits, on which pages, from which cities, on which devices. Those totals carry no identifier of any kind and are kept indefinitely, because they are how we track the site's performance over the years. Nothing in them can be traced back to a person — including you.
Changing your choice
Your choice is not final. Use the button below to reopen the banner and change it — refusing after having accepted also erases the identifiers already stored on your device.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. The site keeps working normally.
Your rights and contact
